ABOUT:

Salvador Dali was the leader of the surrealist movement that spanned the 1920s through the 1960s, and was one of the most celebrated artists of the 20th century. He dedicated his career to exploring the inner workings of the mind, specifically, how the subconscious expresses itself through creativity, resulting in dreamlike portrayals of his subjects. All the while, he engaged in wildly absurd acts of self promotion, such as showing up to an interview wearing scuba diving equipment, which made him a household name to many throughout the postwar period. He has created some of the most recognizable pieces of art in modern history, including The Persistence of Memory, best remembered for its depiction of melting watches.

The piece we have here is the limited-edition lithograph with embossing titled Tauromachie IV, or Bullfighter number 4. It's one from a series of five bullfighter images Dali created in 1968. Everything about this piece, from the artistry, to the printing and embossing quality, to the paper, is as extraordinary as one would expect from an artist as renowned as Salvador Dali, and I'm proud to offer it to you here.
