ABOUT:
Ard Doko is a Dutch street artist well-known in Scandinavia for his spray-painted murals of headshot-like portraits. His work focuses on the idea that our eyes are the portals to each of our own realities and define our perception of the world, and his depiction of eyes have become a hallmark of his paintings.

He frequently partners with organizations to help raise funds for special causes, which is the case with the piece here. This painting is an ode to children undergoing treatment for ongoing medical conditions and was created for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity Auction held in the autumn of 2022.
